Ellisons

Ellisons is a leading supplier of branded products, equipment and training services to the UK’s hair and beauty industry. Having previously taken customer orders by telephone, mail order and via its warehouses, Ellisons recognised a need to create an e-commerce channel.

Ellisons required a robust, cost-effective and secure solution which would take data from its legacy Enterprise Resource Planning system and present this on its website. This would enable customers to check stock and availability in real-time and place an order online.

Although the website would initially cater for Ellisons’ business-to-business customers, Ellisons required the scalability to extend the service directly to consumers in the future.

With its proven history of working with a variety of commercial businesses, Commerce Media was commissioned by Ellisons to design and develop its bespoke solution. The company successfully met Ellison’s requirements and currently hosts the system at its data centre facility.

The flexibility of Commerce Media’s solution will enable Ellisons to further develop the functionality of the website as required.
